**Job Title: Medical Billing Patient Caller**
**Location: [Bangalore]**
**Reports to: [Supervisor/Manager]**
**Position Type: [Full-time]**
**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Patient Communication**:
- Contact patients via phone to discuss medical billing statements and provide explanations of charges.
- Answer patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and other billing-related matters.
- Provide information on available payment options and assist in setting up payment plans if necessary.
**Documentation and Record Keeping**:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, including notes on discussions, agreements, and any follow-up actions required.
- Update patient accounts with relevant information obtained during calls.
**Insurance Verification**:
- Verify insurance information provided by patients and confirm coverage details.
- Coordinate with the billing department to ensure accurate processing of claims.
**Problem Resolution**:
- Address and resolve patient concerns, disputes, or discrepancies related to medical billing.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department for further investigation and resolution.
**Compliance and Regulations**:
- Adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory guidelines governing patient billing and privacy (e.g., HIPAA).
- Stay up-to-date with industry changes and best practices in medical billing.
**Team Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with the billing team, healthcare providers, and other departments to facilitate smooth billing processes.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or Any Degree.
- Proven experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10), and insurance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic and patient-centric approach to customer service.
- Proficiency in using medical billing software and basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
**Working Conditions**:
- This role primarily involves phone-based interactions with patients.
- Standard office hours, although occasional flexibility may be required.
**Salary**: ₹8,913.79 - ₹28,901.64 per month
