Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business (LOB) to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution, and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.

Sustained Engineering is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's (JPMC) Global Technology Infrastructure. Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operation Centers, SE provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while it's Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry-leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.
**Daily Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting / Diagnosing / Testing and Production Environments
- High Priority Production issue resolution
- Drive MQ Infrastructure Stability measures
- Engaging and liaising with other technology areas and line of businesses
- Environment Break-Fix
- Disaster Recovery / Sustained Resilience Co-ordination and Testing
- Root Cause Analysis
- Service Improvements based on re-occurring issues and RCAs
- Build Automations and Enhancements to existing tooling

**Qualifications/Internal
- Strong hand on experience in supporting MQ 9.0.x and working in a middleware operational function
- Detailed understanding of MQSeries messaging, architecture and how it functions in secure environments
- Good problem & customer management, analytical, self-motivated, verbal and written communication skills and an ability to deliver in high pressure situations
- Python development skills
- Data analysis skills is a plus
- Must be able to work with and leverage skills from other teams in the organization
- Problem solving and Reasoning abilities
- Ability to work in a team of competent MQ engineers
- Always looking towards enhancing customer response and experience
- Experience working in a customer facing role and part of a geographically distributed team
- Strong technical skills with proficiency in:

- MQSeries administration tasks
- MQSeries problem determination
- Understands and has experience in MQ architecture
- Unix System Administration concepts and commands
- Fast Learner with skills to automate and build process efficiencies using Ansible, Python, Java
