FUSA Engineer
Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking FUSA Engineer with a strong technical background in the areas of Electric Power Steering (preferred).

Key Job Responsibilities:
Work on Item Definition, HARA and Functional Safety requirements.
Work with the multiple suppliers to complete the DIA, safety plan and support the development of the functional safety and technical safety concept.
Support in creating safety analysis (FMEAs, FMEDA, and FTA).
Support in development of Artefacts required for Functional safety Audits and Assessments as per ISO26262 guidelines.
Define and Engineer product component Safety requirements.
Conduct system and vehicle tests for functional safety validation of system.
Participate in review of Product component safety architecture & design.
Vehicle/HiL integration tests for Functional Safety validation.
Support the feature, systems, and hardware and software teams in the completion of the ISO26262 work products. Work with them to manage the development per the safety plan.
Basic Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Computer Science
3-5 years of relevant experience in Automotive domain and ISO 26262 Standard.
Key Skills and Experience:
Automotive System Engineering and Development experience
Experience in creating safety concepts and analyses
Knowledge of ISO26262 or IEC61508, Automotive SPICE preferably with formal certification
Played/ Currently playing roles as FUSA Engineer or FUSA Developer
Exposure in one of the following areas - Electric Steering system or Steer by wire system.

Recommended L1 Level of FUSA certification.
Usage of DOORS, DNG, Medini.
Requirements Elicitation and Management activities.
CAN and FLEXRAY and Ethernet protocol knowledge.
Usage of Vector CAN tools - CANOE.
Additional Skills:
Good communication skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge in German language is preferred.
Vehicle driving skills is Mandatory.
