Moulding Supervisor

Job roles and responsibilities

1. *Supervising Moulding Operations*: Oversee the production of cast iron and SG iron components through the moulding process, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standards.

2. *Managing Moulding Technicians*: Lead and supervise a team of moulding technicians, providing direction, training, and support to ensure efficient operation of moulding equipment and processes.

3. *Quality Assurance*: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that castings meet dimensional accuracy, surface finish requirements, and material specifications according to customer standards.

4. *Moulding Techniques*: Possess expertise in various moulding techniques specific to cast iron and SG iron casting processes, such as green sand moulding, chemically bonded sand moulding, and shell moulding.

5. *Material Handling*: Oversee the preparation and maintenance of moulding materials, including sand, binders, additives, and gating systems, to ensure optimal casting quality and consistency.

6. *Pattern Equipment Management*: Manage the maintenance, repair, and storage of pattern equipment used in the moulding process, ensuring that patterns are properly stored, inspected, and maintained for longevity and accuracy.

7. *Process Optimization*: Continuously evaluate moulding processes and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, waste reduction, and cost savings while maintaining or enhancing casting quality.

8. *Safety Compliance*: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all personnel involved in moulding operations, including proper handling of molten metal, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to safety guidelines.

9. *Inventory Control*: Monitor inventory levels of moulding consumables, such as sand, additives, and cores, and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supply levels to support production schedules.

10. *Documentation and Reporting*: Maintain accurate records of moulding activities, including production output, material consumption, quality inspections, and equipment maintenance, and prepare reports for management review.

11. *Team Development*: Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to moulding technicians to enhance their skills, knowledge, and proficiency in moulding techniques and processes.

12. *Continuous Improvement Initiatives*: Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall foundry performance, including process optimization, waste reduction, and quality enhancement.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
