Position for Dispatch Cum Store Executive

Exp: 5 to 8 years

Position Overview: The Dispatch cum Store Executive plays a crucial role in the efficient

management of materials and dispatch operations within a steel manufacturing company. They are

responsible for overseeing the storage, inventory management, and timely dispatch of steel

products to customers while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations:
Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of steel products as per

customer orders.

Prepare dispatch schedules and allocate appropriate transportation resources for on-time delivery.

Monitor and track the progress of dispatches, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules and

resolving any issues that may arise.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dispatch activities, including delivery notes,

invoices, and transport-related documents.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, dispatches, and stock transactions using

inventory management systems or software.

Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, dispatch performance, and other relevant metrics.

Analyse data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures to

enhance efficiency.

Inventory Management:
Proficiency in inventory management practices, including stock reconciliation, inventory control, and

cycle counting, is essential.

Store Management:
Ability to maintain and organize the company's store or warehouse, including proper storage of steel

products, identification, and labelling, to ensure easy accessibility and inventory accuracy.

Implementing proper storage techniques to prevent damage, corrosion, and loss of steel products.

Coordination and Communication:
Collaborate with internal departments; including production, sales, procurement, and quality

control, to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfilment of customer orders.

Liaise with transporters, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to arrange transportation and

resolve any issues related to dispatches.

Communicate with customers regarding dispatch schedules, delivery updates, and any potential

delays or issues.
- Prior experience in dispatch operations, store management, or inventory control, preferably

within the steel manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, steel products, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams,

suppliers, transporters, and customers.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
