Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
This hands-on role will be responsible for designing and developing ETL solutions to enable quick and seamless deployment for ETL data warehouse.
The ETL Designer would be working on a single complex project, or multiple standard projects, as part of delivery / Design ETL team. Collaborating with Architects, PMs and developers as well as support and Infrastructure teams during and for the Design and development of the software components within the project scope, ensuring quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness in order to support the high performance delivery of change projects within RDC.

What will you be doing?
- Working with the team to design, build & deploy ETL solutions using Abinitio,Hadoop and Sqls, implementing automated monitoring, and testing complex frameworks.
- Be prepared to be an active member of an Agile team and assist other areas when required
- Good Understanding of Cloud technology like AWS S3,Glue, Lamda, Dynamo DB
- Effectively utilise a Automation pipeline for ETL solution to optimize our build quality and time-to-market.
- Build software to standards and of high quality. Responsible for testing of self and / or peer-developed code.
- Collaborate with other interfacing teams to ensure successful end-to-end delivery.
- Will be responsible for training the team and Assessing and designing new business change processes, systems, products and services on a change project

Plan Change. Ensure all governance, risk management, controls and compliance requirements are considered during development of requirements and designs
- Develop and implement new business change processes, systems, products and services on a change project. Provide an aggregate high level view of the combined proposed solutions and ensure alignment with the change solution.

Personal & Professional Development
- Use the Barclays Training portal to accelerate and maintain skills level, particularly the development of professional change skill sets
- Use the bank standard management, change management toolkit and project management toolkit to plan and deliver change projects

What we’re looking for:

- Extensive experience in Software Development with Jira, Jenkins technologies
- Expertize on the following: ETL Abinitio, Hadoop(HDFS,Hive,Impala),RDBMS(Teradata/Maria DB/Oracle)
- You will have a good understanding of how ETL BIW project works as E2E solution.
- Good Understanding of Cloud technology like AWS S3,Glue, Lamda, Dynamo DB
- Strong hands on experience of Abinitio and Unix.
- You will have a good understanding of BIW environment within Barclays.
- Strong debugging skills to help resolve issue during development as well as in production
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to find ways to overcome obstacles and self-teach new concepts
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or similar.
