Job Title: Ultrasound Nurse

**Job Description**:
We are seeking an experienced nurse with expertise in ultrasound technology to join our laboratory team. As an Ultrasound Nurse, you will play a crucial role in performing ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians in diagnosing various medical conditions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct ultrasound examinations following established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination.
- Operate ultrasound equipment proficiently, adjusting settings as necessary to obtain clear images.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate ultrasound techniques for each patient's condition.
- Evaluate ultrasound images for quality and accuracy, identifying any abnormalities or areas requiring further examination.
- Document findings accurately in patients' medical records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures, providing support and ensuring patient safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the ultrasound laboratory, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Educate patients and their families about ultrasound procedures, answering any questions and addressing concerns.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Certification in ultrasound technology (ARDMS or equivalent) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a nurse, with at least 1 year of experience in performing ultrasound examinations.
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting ultrasound images.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
