Job Description1 MHC/ Physiotherapy/ JD / Ver. 1.0/ June 2019 Core Responsibilities - Ability to clinically evaluate the patient independently Ensure service excellence with high standard of patient care Plans and administers standard diagnostic and prognostic examination of muscles, nerves, joints and functional abilities. Plans treatment objectives and programs according to the results of evaluation. Taking decision and administer the modalities & treatment procedures with high skill of performance Explains treatment objectives and methods to patients and their families. Designs and constructs, or directs construction of specialized splints and prostheses Directs and aids patients in exercises and functional training using appropriate devises and equipment. Records initial assessments, treatments given and other updates appropriately in Patient Records/ CPRS. Records patient’s progress and document on timely manner Re-evaluates and document reassessment procedures timely. Evaluates patient response and progress, and discusses with appropriate physician as and when required. Report daily progress of patients to assigned supervisor. Maintain good & healthy relations with other professionals, including physicians, patients, patient’s relatives Directs and supervises the activities of the physiotherapy aids, assistants, students, and GDAs. To ensure that ethical professional practice is followed. Follows proper/daily handover of the patients between the shifts in the department. Knowledge of safe and proper operations of all equipment. To Comply with the clinical quality & policies of the respective area To comply with service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues Follows team work in the department and consults seniors in any required situation. Clinical Quality Excellence and Effectiveness The effect of the physiotherapeutic intervention and the treatment plan is evaluated to ensure that it is effective and relevant to the goals Ensure patient information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record system/ patient records, incorporates relevant evaluation procedures/outcome measures in the physiotherapy plan Incorporates relevant evaluation procedures/ outcome measure in Physiotherapy care plan 2. Quality Assurance: Adhere to organisational policies and procedures across all clinical specialities Adherence to patient safety procedures 3. Service Excellence Building trust and high degree of patient satisfaction 4. Learning and Development Takes responsibility for learning & seeks opportunities to meet learning needs CME/ Projects per year 5. Continuity of Care Conversions from IP, OP, Home V. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications B.P.T./MPT Experience 2.1 -4 years with BPT or 0-2 years with MPT Registration Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational therapy (DCPTOT) Technical Skills Knowledge of safe and proper operations of all equipment Behavioural Skills Contingency management.
