**Job Title: Special Educator**

**Location**: EuroSchool - HSR, Bangalore

**Position Summary**:
The Special Educator at EuroSchool will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional success. The educator will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, parents, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide targeted interventions to address students' unique learning challenges. A Bachelor's degree in Special Education (B.Ed) is mandatory for this position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Conduct thorough assessments of students with special needs to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and individual learning goals. Use assessment data to develop personalized learning plans and interventions.
- **Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)**: Collaborate with the student's IEP team to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans that address the student's unique learning needs and goals.
- **Behavior Management**: Implement positive behavior support strategies and interventions to address challenging behaviors and promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- **Collaboration and Consultation**: Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, parents, administrators, and other support staff to ensure the successful inclusion and integration of students with special needs into the general education environment.
- **Progress Monitoring**: Monitor and track student progress towards IEP goals, regularly reviewing and updating educational plans and interventions as needed.
- **Parent Communication**: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement. Provide support, guidance, and resources to help parents advocate for their child's educational needs.
- **Professional Development**: Stay current with best practices in special education, instructional strategies, and assistive technologies through ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education (B.Ed) from a recognized institution. Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification/license in Special Education.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with students with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
