**Internship Title: ML Surrogate modeling of lap joint**

**Job scope (core activities)**:
***Perform literature review on sampling techniques (sobol, LHS etc) and provide a justification for selecting one.**

***Understand the ML pipeline in place and improve the pipeline to make it more robust.** **Create and validate an Abaqus python parametric model based on geometric and material feature requirements. Create a dataframe after performing multiple FEM simulations.**

***Develop machine learning and deep learning based classification and regression models.** **Comparison of machine learning model results with Airbus methods.**

***Summarize findings, prepare the report and suggest a way forward.**

**Pre-requisites**:

- Good programming skills in Python**
**- Machine learning, Deep learning code development and deployment**
**- Experience with finite element analysis (ABAQUS preferred)**
**- Understanding fatigue and damage tolerance analysis is a plus.**
**- Exposure to object oriented programming is a plus**

**Tools**:Python**

**Qualification**:
**-Post graduate (Mechanical / Civil / Aerospace / Applied Mechanics )**

**Soft skills**:

- Ability to work independently**
**- Good communication and interpersonal skills**
**- **Flexibility & adaptability**
