**Travelling Support Teacher (Intern)**

We are looking for interns to join as support teachers for the following two education offerings:

- Pathfinders (students aged 8-12)
- Trailblazers (students aged 13-14)

This is a full-time position starting August 1, 2024 in any of the following locations:

- Tuscany, Italy
- Bali, Indonesia
- Kotor, Montenegro
- Andalusia, Spain

Interns educators are partners in education, working together to provide the best educational experience possible for each child. The support educator’s role is to assist the classroom teacher and allow more effective utilization of the teacher's abilities and professional knowledge. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
**Primary responsibilities**

**Accountability for learning**:

- Inspires students to achieve maximum learning by employing various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to succeed academically, socially, behaviorally and emotionally.Help education staff lead small group instruction and collect required data to determine a child’s progress in the classroom so they can meet the objectives in their IEP.
- Help foster a culture of learning and acceptance by acting as an advocate for children with academic, social emotional or behavioural concerns, and models appropriate social skills to the peers in the general education classroom.
- Help develop and support engaging and meaningful activities after collaborating and consulting with educational professionals and community service providers (i.e., social services, public health, medical providers etc.) regarding the needs of students, which will ensure that there is an outstanding student experience and learning environment in the classroom, every day.

**Instructional design and practices**:

- Helps direct small group or individual instruction as instructed by the educator and works cooperatively by sharing ideas and concerns
- Mobilises and develops resources to support instructional activities planned by the educator that will assist in the educational and social development of students
- Replaces any lead educators if they are sick, on vacation or unable to attendHelp clean up facilities throughout the day
- Will support educators during Nature Time and Cultural Immersion Time
- Implements solutions for each student and situation by carrying out programs that can be taught individually or in groups that allows for the student to achieve maximum independence. Implements behaviour management activities that promote a safe learning environment for all.

**Additional Income Opportunities**

Interns will have the opportunity to earn extra income by babysitting children in the Boundless community outside of regular work hours. Boundless has a network of parents in need of reliable babysitters, and this is an excellent way to supplement your income with Boundless while helping families in the community.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 9 month-internship (September-November; January-March, April-June)
- Ready to learn and can deal with last-minute changes
- Language requirements: able to function in English
- During work days you will be insured under the Boundless Life insurance for any incidents
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be in the field of education
- An enthusiastic and eager-to-learn mindset characterized by a proactive "can-do" approach
- Capable of furnishing a letter of approval from your university, verifying the internship period.
