This is a wide-ranging role within the Group Commercial Team to provide an efficient service to ensure the team runs effectively. The vacancy involves drafting and some general administration of a variety of commercial agreements but is a development role for individuals looking to progress to a Commercial Management role.

On the job training schedule with Corporate Membership with IACCM (International Association for Contract and Commercial Management)

This role provides a good insight into the commercial operation of an IT Systems and Services business, with plenty of opportunity for development.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Reviewing, and drafting a variety of agreements - mark up and spotting inconsistencies.
- Software License agreements
- Master Service agreements
- Managed Service agreements
- Reviewing Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Reviewing proposals and tender responses
- Work on continuous improvement of standard form agreements and contract templates
- Aid in risk assessment of contractual terms and conditions along with Commercial Manager
- Generating Contract Approval Forms to enable governance sign off for new contract signatures.
- Generating Contract Briefing documents, to support contract compliance.
- Providing information and maintaining contract records and contract repository
- Working independently and as part of a team in a busy office environment
- Escalating unresolved issues to line Manager

This job requires you to work independently and as part of a team in a busy office environment. It is computer based and involves phone work. Very occasionally (and possibly at short notice) travel may be required to assist with commercial activities in UK and Australia.

**Skills**:

- Ability to communicate effectively with immediate team.
- Ability to manage efficiently their own activities.
- Ability to interpret and understand basic contracts.
- Ability to use basic functions of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to perform basic contract drafting efficiently.
- Ability to understand basic financial data and terminology.
- Ability to understand a contract management plan and execute basic tasks within a plan.
- Ability to treat sensitive/confidential information with appropriate discretion.
- Attention-to-detail, organized, flexible.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Ambition to progress into a Commercial Management role

**Experience**:
2+ years’ experience of working in either a corporate legal department, or commercial department, including experience of drafting UK or Australian business contracts.

**Location:’**

This role will require the individual to spend a minimum of 3 days per week in the Civica office in Vadodara (once the office re-opens)
