**Job Title: Junior Horticulturist**

**Location**: Kensville Golf and Country Club, Kensville Golf Living, Ahmedabad

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Plant Selection and Landscape Design:
Collaborate with architects, landscape architects, and project managers to integrate plants and greenery into site plans and building designs.

Conduct site assessments to evaluate soil conditions, climate factors, and other environmental variables to inform plant selection and placement.

Research and select appropriate plant species based on aesthetic considerations, ecological suitability, and maintenance requirements.

Develop detailed planting plans, including species composition, layout, and spacing, to achieve desired visual effects and functional objectives.

2. Plant Procurement and Installation:
Source and procure high-quality plant materials from reputable nurseries and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budget constraints.

Coordinate with contractors and landscaping teams to oversee the installation of plants, trees, shrubs, and other vegetation according to established design plans.

Provide guidance and supervision during planting activities to ensure proper handling, spacing, and soil preparation techniques.

Implement irrigation systems, mulching, and other soil amendments to support plant establishment and long-term health.

3. Plant Care and Maintenance:
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for landscaped areas, including watering schedules, fertilization programs, pruning regimes, and pest management strategies.

Monitor the health and growth of plants, diagnosing and addressing any issues related to diseases, pests, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental stressors.

Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to assess plant health, aesthetics, and compliance with design standards.

Train and supervise landscaping staff or contractors responsible for ongoing maintenance tasks, providing guidance and support as needed.

4. Sustainability and Environmental Management:
Incorporate sustainable horticultural practices, such as native plant landscaping, xeriscaping, and organic gardening techniques, to minimize water usage, chemical inputs, and environmental impact.

Implement green infrastructure elements, such as green roofs, vertical gardens, and rain gardens, to enhance biodiversity, manage stormwater runoff, and improve air quality.

Educate project stakeholders, residents, and community members about the benefits of sustainable landscaping and opportunities for active participation in green initiatives.

**Qualifications**:
1. Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Science, Landscape Architecture, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in horticulture, landscaping, or related field, preferably in the real estate or property development industry.

3. Strong knowledge of plant biology, horticultural principles, soil science, and plant propagation techniques.

4. Familiarity with local plant species, climate zones, and environmental regulations.

5. Proficiency in landscape design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite, preferred. Certifications such as CPH or Certified Arborist are advantageous.

6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.

7. Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

8. Passion for sustainable development, environmental conservation, and creating beautiful, functional green spaces that enhance quality of life.

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
