Skills: Proficiency in the specific ERP software being implemented, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to adapt training materials to various audiences, patience, and problem-solving skills.
**Responsibilities**:
Training Needs Assessment: Identify the training needs of different departments or user groups within the organization. This involves understanding their roles, responsibilities, and proficiency levels with the ERP system.
Training Material Development: Develop training materials such as manuals, guides, presentations, and interactive modules tailored to the specific needs of different user groups. These materials should cover various aspects of the ERP system including navigation, data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting.
Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions for end-users, administrators, and other stakeholders either in-person or through virtual platforms. These sessions may range from introductory sessions for new users to advanced workshops for power users and administrators.
Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from trainees to continuously improve training materials and delivery methods. This feedback loop is essential for ensuring that training remains effective and relevant as the organization evolves.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of training materials, session schedules, attendance records, and feedback received. This documentation helps track progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide evidence of compliance with training requirements.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest features, updates, and best practices related to the ERP system being implemented. This ongoing learning ensures that the trainer remains an expert in their field and can effectively support users as the system evolves.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, IT teams, and other stakeholders involved in the ERP implementation to coordinate training activities with overall project timelines and objectives.
Overall, an ERP Trainer plays a critical role in facilitating the successful adoption of ERP systems within an organization by equipping users with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively leverage the system in their day-to-day operations.
