**Team**: The ESG Research team is responsible for delivering Sustainalytics’ suite of strategically important ESG research and data products which includes ESG risk ratings, climate and impact solutions, and sustainable finance solutions. Alongside producing high-quality research content, the team is also responsible for continuously developing new research products, providing meaningful insights that help our clients in their investment decisions.

**Role**:This new Climate Solutions team is building a Research Operations team in Mumbai to oversee research operations for our climate product suite. You will be part of a dynamic and strategically important team and support the development and implementation of climate-related research throughout its lifecycle. The Research Operations team is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the research process and oversees the planning and reporting. The Research Operations team collaborates closely with our research, quality assurance, and technical teams to bring a coordinated research process to life.

This role will report to the Operations Manager, who will work with the Research Planner to complete defined deliverables to scale the Research Operations Team efficiently and accurately, avoiding any bottlenecks in capacity.

The Research Planner will be responsible for developing processes and tools which support the Climate Solutions Research Team and downstream stakeholders in monitoring capacity, communicating constraints proactively, and forecasting hiring demand, all the while increasing automation and efficiency.

This position requires an aptitude in a broad range of operational and planning tasks; combining analytical, technical, and communication skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Operations Manager to create monthly, quarterly and annual planning for producing research, incorporating all the product requirements;
- Analyze the volume of work and map it against the resources’ availability at the team level;
- Introduce and quarterly update a forecasting model, to ensure the team’s availability meets the product requirements and the timelines for the releases;
- Harmonize the planning for the Climate Solutions suite of products considering all the Research Teams that contribute to the same deliveries;
- Design and maintain tracking and monitoring tools, combining data sources across internal platforms, with a focus on planning;
- Work with the Operations Manager to design tracking KPIs and support the delivery of monthly production and progress reports;
- Use statistics when appropriate to accurately analyze data on existing research as well as on the planning for the future releases;

**Qualifications**
- 3-5 years of experience in production planning, data management and/or process automation in a business environment;
- Excellent resource management skills;
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft systems (including high proficiency in Excel) and modern software solutions
- Technical experience appropriate for working with data, database management teams and software development teams;
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, SharePoint, PowerBI, Microsoft Dynamics;
- Passion for sustainability and interest and knowledge in the financial services industry is a plus;
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment;
- Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders from multiple teams and at all levels.
