**Position Overview**:
As a Veterinary Officer specializing in animal nutrition and feed formulation within the cattle field, your primary responsibility is to optimize the nutritional well-being of cattle through the development and implementation of effective feeding programs. This role involves working closely with farmers, nutritionists, and other stakeholders to ensure proper dietary management for cattle, thereby contributing to their health, productivity, and overall welfare.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Dietary Assessment and Planning**:

- Conduct nutritional assessments of cattle and analyze their dietary needs.
- Develop and implement customized feeding programs based on age, breed, health status, and production goals.
- **Feed Formulation**:

- Formulate balanced and cost-effective diets to meet the nutritional requirements of different stages of cattle development.
- Source and evaluate feed ingredients for quality and nutritional value.
- **Nutritional Consultation**:

- Provide expert advice to farmers on optimizing cattle nutrition for growth, reproduction, and milk production.
- Offer guidance on managing nutritional challenges, such as deficiencies or imbalances.
- **Quality Control**:

- Monitor the quality of commercially available feeds and supplements.
- Collaborate with feed manufacturers to ensure compliance with nutritional standards and regulations.
- **Research and Development**:

- Stay informed about the latest advancements in animal nutrition and feed technology.
- Participate in research projects to enhance feeding practices and develop innovative nutritional solutions.
- **Training and Education**:

- Conduct training sessions for farmers and agricultural professionals on best practices in animal nutrition.
- Raise awareness about the importance of proper feeding for optimal cattle health and productivity.
- **Record Keeping and Analysis**:

- Maintain accurate records of dietary plans and nutritional interventions.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of feeding programs and make adjustments as needed.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with veterinary teams, extension officers, and stakeholders to integrate nutritional strategies with overall herd health.
- Communicate effectively with farmers to address concerns and provide ongoing support.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Degree in Veterinary Medicine with a specialization in Animal Nutrition or a related field.
- Proven experience in formulating nutritionally balanced diets for cattle.
- Strong knowledge of feed ingredients, nutritional requirements, and dietary management practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

**Salary**: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
