Sustainability, social equality and the environment are now business problems. And corporate leaders can’t depend on governments to solve them. Inspired by this philosophy of Peter Senge, a group of young corporate professionals came together in 2002 to set up Smile Foundation to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of underprivileged children, their families and communities.

Today, Smile Foundation is directly benefiting over 1.5 million children and families through more than 400 welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood, and women empowerment spread across 2,000 villages and urban slums in 25 states, every year.

**Job Summary**

Coordinating, monitoring and supporting in the implementation of projects and programs in South Region

**Accountabilities**
- Local implementation & project management including; planning & delivery, specific implementation of all local level things and governance
- Achievement of the projects objectives
- Performance management & reporting
- The role holder will comply with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
- Coordination with ME partners for collation and management of data, reports and information for timely submission to internal & external stakeholders
- Monitoring and supervising the activities by visiting the ME Centres (South) and coordinate the tasks with the centres’ staff ensuring projects are being handled and implemented as per the PIP
- Support in ME reporting and management review presentations
- Coordination of events, employee engagement activities, volunteering, media shoots and donor visits
- Support in project development & identification of partners for the specific projects and ensuring proper due diligence, conducting need assessments, budgeting, preparation of MoU, etc.
- Manage and report periodically as per designated reporting process - reviewing project reports, drafting reports, and assimilating information into reports in accordance with organizational and project deliverables.
- Carry out administrative duties e.g. contract development and vendor management, event management, monitoring and evaluation, and any other tasks as reasonably requested.
- To perform all other tasks as assigned from time to time by reporting management and other senior persons/colleagues of Smile Foundation

**_ Reporting and documentation_**
- Documentation & maintaining MIS of the project activities in the prescribed formats and report to the reporting authority
- Documenting the innovations, best practices, case stories and testimonials
- Capturing break through activities through real time photographs, videos
- Sharing project snippets

**_ Management_**
- Practice strong integrated working across functions and geography
- Develop and maintain project management approaches which facilitate open, effective and timely communication
- Support the Regional Lead in ensuring the development and implementation of consistent approaches that contribute to the organisation’s strategy

**Finance**
- Manage the project activities within budget diligently
- Take overall responsibility for the effective and efficient management of resources in accordance with Smile Foundation’s financial procedures and local governance regulations

**Organizational responsibilities**
- Work cooperatively with external organizations, and teams within Smile Foundation to pursue project objectives and wider organizational goals, including those relating to brand, communications and resource management.
- Actively participate and support the organisation to ensure that we manage resources (financial, staff and IT) efficiently and effectively by improving the systems, reporting and compliance.
- The post holder will be required to travel to provide support or participate in Smile Foundation’s / Partners activities as and when required.

**Qualifications** **& Skills**
- Graduate/Post-graduate (master’s degree) in the Social Sciences, Social work, Sociology or other relevant discipline with the willingness to learn and use innovative techniques
- 2-3 years of work experience preferable in development sector on project coordination
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, including written and spoken English and local language. with good relationship building skills
- Proficiency in M.S. Office (Excel, Power Point and Word)
- Willingness to travel to field for events or project monitoring, whenever required
- Ability to work with multiple teams/people and ability to handle adhoc tasks
- Ability to handle work pressures and deliver under tight schedules, flexibility in approach
- An understanding of social/development sector issues in Education
