_**JOB DESCRIPTION**:_
- To attach electrodes from an ECG machine to the patient's chest, arms and legs, adjusts the machine's settings to obtain a reading and hands over the prints electrocardiograph to the cardiologist for interpretation. Electrocardiographs are used to diagnose a range of heart diseases that includes angina, coronary heart disease and atherosclerosis.
- Takes routine ECGs and/or rhythm strips as requested, with preference given to STATS, using the proper technique
- Performes advanced training Holter monitor and stress testing. With Holter monitoring, ECG techs monitor patients' hearts for a 24-hour period by attaching electrodes from a belt-attached portable ECG monitor (Holter monitor) to the chest.
- Stress-testing usually involves the patient running on a treadmill so that the ECG tech can measure the response of the heart to increased exertion
- Explains the purpose and procedure of taking an electrocardiogram, exercise stress test, Holter monitor, or other related procedure to the patient, in order to gain patient cooperation
- Demonstrates competence in the care of pediatric or frail elderly groups of patients (when/if assigned to these patients) relative to determining each patient’s age-related and other physical, psychosocial and cultural needs, and carrying out patient care activities
- Performs graded exercise stress testing accurately, following the cardiologist’s instructions and protocol, using the proper techniques to produce a clear, good quality tracing.
- Takes patient’s blood pressure accurately
- Performs Holter scanning using the proper techniques, printing out and mounting all significant arrhythmias and patient correlated symptoms
- Maintains all ECG, exercise stress, Holter monitor and Departmental records books, Patient card files, Patient tracing files, Teaching material files
- Floats to other areas as directed by the Supervisor, Cardiology Services Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Cardiology Services
- Schedules patients for procedures and maintain logging and schedule system as needed.
- Performs assessments on patients of various conditions and ages, considering the physical and physiological needs of every patient.
- Develops and maintains positive interpersonal relations with other department personnel.
- Assists in the training of new personnel as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state guidelines and regulations.

**Salary**: From ₹15,000.00 per month
