Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
Data Modeler cum Designer role spans across multiple projects or modules simultaneously.

What will you be doing?

This role has been envisaged to perform following functions
- Contribute in strategic initiatives, deliveries in accordance with Corporate Banking Technology Roadmap, Governance & Compliance
- Guide team in simulating and testing the functional scenarios.
- Impact assess the component changes as per Functional Specification & Furnish Data Model
- Coaching & Mentoring Junior members

Project Support
- Contribute in a requirement discussion with the various stakeholders (internal and external)
- Should be able to clearly articulate any blockers upfront with valid reasons.
- Highlighting Risks upfront and come up with mitigation plans.

Skills/Capability Growth
- Steer the team to learn and adopt new data model, database technologies includes NoSQL databases
- Sharing knowledge with colleagues both proactively and on-demand.
- Identifying development needs of junior team members.
- Taking proactive steps to maintain skills in relevant specialist areas, and continuously broadening knowledge of systems and technologies used within Barclays Group

What we’re looking for:

- 7 - 10 years of Industry experience in data projects or data engineering area.
- Knowledge of Problem, Incident and Release Management
- Knowledge of JIRA and Agile methodologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of various SQL and NoSQL Databases (Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL Server and MongoDB)
- Excellent Data Modelling be it Operational Data Store, Data Mart or Data Warehouse or OLTP System
- Good exposure Database design and SQL Performance Tuning
- Capable of internal and stakeholder management

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Banking Domain knowledge/experience
- Hands on development and maintaining medium to large enterprise data models
- Knowledge of reporting tools will be added advantage (Tableau)
- AWS/Hadoop knowledge will be added advantage
