**This is what you will be doing**:
The successful incumbent will co-ordinate and oversee the quality management of multi-site Dialysis Services at Halton Healthcare including daily workflow, clinical protocols development and maintenance, safety monitoring, educational sessions and equipment planning, selection, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Charge Dialysis Technologist is responsible for ensuring all Dialysis equipment and water treatment systems are maintained to applicable CSA standards and records are maintained for all systems, an understanding of Ontario’s health care systems is required and a solid understanding of the organization of kidney disease management an asset.

The Charge Technologist will participate in departmental/ hospital committees and professional societies that promote professional development. The incumbent will collect and analyze data, preparing and submitting impact analyses, preparing statistical reports to the Manager or Director; participate in and/or develop quality control projects, monitor departmental efficiency benchmarks; ensure accurate completion.

The Charge Technologist will maintain data for submission to the Ontario Renal Network for Capital Equipment and Home Utility Grants.

The Charge Technologist will assess capital equipment needs.

The Charge Technologist will assure that protocols and procedures are in place to ensure that Dialysis operations meet best practices as outlined by legislation, accreditation and other regulatory body requirements. Other assigned duties as required.

- Diploma (Degree) in Dialysis Technology or Biomedical Engineering from an accredited institution required
- Graduate master level degree in Health Sciences, Health Administration, Business or area of clinical practice preferred
- Must be a registered member in good standing of OACETT
- 5 years recent experience in Dialysis required
- Thorough knowledge of primary and ancillary equipment and its operation, required.
- Must have recognized leadership skills including commitment to cultivating organizational health and ability to inspire and drive results
- Must have strong interpersonal skills including ability to resolve conflicts, diplomacy, achieve consensus and be able to work comfortably with staff and external stakeholders, including clinicians
- Must have excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills and the ability to handle stress and conflict management in a professional, effective manner
- Must have superior ability to analyze and identify risks, evaluate alternatives, find solutions, and make decisions.
- Should have excellent writing skills including the ability to prepare briefing notes, reports, and policy documents for multiple audiences
- Should have excellent oral and strong facilitation skills including ability to create and deliver effective presentations and answer questions
- Must demonstrate the ability to respond rapidly to changing conditions in a dynamic environment.
- Should have experience managing multiple, complex projects including allocating resources, negotiating timelines, and synthesizing activities and findings to meet program needs.
- Must be detail-oriented and process-driven with a demonstrated ability to produce high quality work consistently and effectively
- Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
