Greenhouse Worker

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in horticulture.
- Basic Agricultural Knowledge: Understanding of plant care, irrigation systems, and pest control methods.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide daily care to greenhouse and nursery plants including planting, transplanting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, controlling insects and disease, ventilating, and controlling weeds.
- Manage plant nutrient levels.
- Maintain greenhouse room at the appropriate temperature, humidity, and light level.
- Inspect plant material for disease and insect problems, light levels, temperature and humidity, nutrient requirements, and mechanical damage.
- Record data and maintain records; notify supervisor or project leader of irregularities.
- Prepare proper growing medium as designated by supervisor or project leader.
- Move materials such as cocopeat, greenhouse equipment, fertilizers etc.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Prepare growing media, plant bulbs, seeds and cuttings, graft, and bud plants.
- Set transplants out onto the rooting media, and transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings.
- Spray crops, flowers, and plants to manage specific pests.
- Harvest fruits and vegetables and flowers.
- Maintain inventory and order materials as required.
- Clean work areas.
