**Job Role**:

- Install, configure as well, and maintain storage hardware backup inclusive of physical plus virtual tape libraries or drives along with disk storage targets.
- Ensure to install as well as configure Networker customer software on UNIX or Linux as well as Windows systems.
- Perform activities related to installing, configuring, and managing SAN devices and fiber switches.
- Administer Brocade director FC switches as well as blade chassis FC devices.
- Execute FC zoning for development and production storage volumes.
- Manage Unity, VPlex, and Powerstore storage as well as recovery methods for storage volumes.
- Execute across-site replication of significant DR data.
- Supervise volume replication overnight jobs and execute improvements.
- Oversee IO performance of production along with the development of databases LUNs.
- Provide architecture as well as performance recommendations to DBAs and Ops.
- Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.
- Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.
- Develop and maintain records for entire storage as well as FC systems.
- Administer entire server systems.
- Collaborate with DBA as well as Ops to ensure apt storage usage.
- VMWARE Admin
- Experience with VMware Virtualization technologies: vSphere ESX/ESXI 4.x and 5.x. VCenter 4.x/5.x., 6.x, to latest
- Installing and configuring ESX/ESXi servers.
- Adding ESX, Creating and configuring Datacenter and Clusters in the Center server.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Sphere 5.0 and 5.1 including features like HA and DRS.
- Installing different Guest operating systems and VMware tools in virtual machines.
- Creating, Deploying and Cloning of virtual machines and Templates
- Analyzing and troubleshooting the performance of
- CPU, Memory, Disk, and NIC cards on VM.
- Creating and managing Resource pools, Setting Reservations, Shares and Limits.
- Configuring and troubleshooting HA and DRS for failover and load balancing
- Create resource pools, add VMs to resource pools and manage CPU & memory resources.
- Configure Alarms and Scheduled tasks.
- Convert physical machines to virtual machines
- (P2V) and virtual machines to virtual machines (V2V) with VMware Converter.
- Troubleshooting Vmotion and SVmotion related issues.
- Upgrading the ESX and ESXi servers from versions 4.1 to 5.0 and 5.0 to 5.1 using VMware update manager.
- Reconfiguring VMs as per the requirements: Hot add, Hot-plug, Extend Hard disk and adding NIC card.
- Hands-on experience in horizon view.
- Creating Virtual Switches & Port groups in a virtual Environment.
- Configuring vSphere Standard Switches (VSS) and distributed virtual Switches (VDS).
- Configuring LUNs to ESX Servers and extending the data stores.
- Exposure to iSCSI management software if any.
- Configuring vSphere Standard Switches (VSS) and distributed virtual Switches (VDS).
- Configuring LUN'S to ESX Servers and extending the data stores.
- Exposure on iSCSI management software's like Star wind and Open filer
- Monitoring vSphere environment using estop, VCenter Server, Veeam Monitor and RVTools.
- Daily/weekly/monthly routine health checks for VM and ESX servers.
