**Job Title: Freight Broker**

A Freight Broker is responsible for facilitating the transportation of goods by connecting shippers with carriers. This role involves negotiating transportation rates, coordinating shipments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Freight Broker plays a crucial role in optimizing logistics and contributing to the smooth flow of goods within the supply chain.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Client Acquisition and Relationship Management**:

- Identify and acquire new clients (shippers) seeking transportation services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their specific transportation needs.
- **Carrier Negotiation**:

- Negotiate transportation rates and contractual terms with carriers to secure favourable agreements.
- Evaluate carrier capabilities, reliability, and adherence to industry regulations.
- **Load Matching and Coordination**:

- Match available carriers with shippers' freight requirements efficiently.
- Coordinate and schedule shipments to optimize delivery times and minimize costs.
- **Documentation and Compliance**:

- Ensure accurate and complete documentation for each shipment, including bills of lading and other required paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing freight transportation.
- **Communication**:

- Maintain open and effective communication channels with shippers, carriers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on the status of shipments and address any issues promptly.
- **Problem Resolution**:

- Address and resolve any challenges or issues that may arise during the transportation process.
- Work collaboratively with clients and carriers to find solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
- **Market Research and Industry Knowledge**:

- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and improvement based on market insights.
- **Technology Utilization**:

- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and relevant software for efficient load tracking and management.
- Stay updated on advancements in logistics technology to enhance operational efficiency.

**Job Requirements**:

- **Excellent Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners.
- **Sales Experience**: Prior experience in making sales calls and a proven track record of achieving sales targets is highly desirable.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to quickly learn and understand the logistics industry, even if you do not have prior experience in this field.
- **Negotiation Skills**: Adept at negotiating and closing deals to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- **Customer Focus**: Customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s in any stream, Business Administration or a related field required.
- Proven experience as a Freight Broker (minimum 1 year) required.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of transportation modes, routes, and industry regulations.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and relevant software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Sales and customer service experience is beneficial.

A Freight Broker is instrumental in optimizing transportation logistics, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering positive relationships with clients and carriers to contribute to the overall success of the supply chain.

**Salary**: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
