**job description**

The IT Administrator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless system administration, efficient network management, and robust IT security. They play a key role in providing technical support to end-users, resolving IT issues promptly, and promoting IT literacy through user training. Additionally, the IT Administrator collaborates with the IT team on various projects, implements security measures, and conducts regular documentation and reporting to ensure the organization's IT environment remains secure and optimized

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain servers, workstations, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources.
- Conduct regular backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Network Management
- Administer and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN) and wireless network.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure network connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Maintain network security and enforce access controls and firewall policies.
- User Support:

- Provide technical support to end-users on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist employees with software installations, account setup, and password resets.
- Respond to IT help desk tickets promptly and resolve technical problems efficiently.
- Conduct user training sessions to enhance IT literacy and best practices.
- Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Monitor for security breaches and promptly respond to incidents to minimize potential damage.
- Enforce security policies, perform regular security audits, and recommend improvements.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Test and evaluate new technologies to improve system efficiency and performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT configurations, procedures, and user guides.
- Prepare regular reports on IT system performance, user support metrics, and security incidents.
