**About the role**
- Review and standardize on ECAD Tools component library.
- Develop processes for standardizing ECAD tools, layout & schematic symbols.
- Set & maintain standards for PCB layouts.
- Participate in design & layout reviews and monitor effective utilization of library components
- Should promote usage of standard EDA tools & standards within organization & act as a champion to facilitate usage across multiple BU teams.
- Proactively collaborate across multiple business teams to formulate library standards & sustain the same.
- Contribute to ECAD tools chain maintenance & updates acting as a custodian of the same.
- Work effectively with designers, component engineers, supply chain to ensure sanity of the component databased used in Carrier Designs
- Able to provide PCB layout design guidelines to PCB designers and able to review layout files for DFM/DFT/ SI
- Create related workflows & approval matrix for maintenance of ECAD library.
- Preparation of test plans to validate any changes in the library due to tool / vendor changes.
- Follow internal hardware and firmware development processes and contribute to process improvements.
- Ability to communicate & effectively put across various proposals for maintenance & sustenance of ECAD library to build a common library for multiple Carrier BU
- Able to guide /mentor junior team members.

**Key Requirements**:
The experience and skills required include but are not limited to the following:

- Strong knowledge in ECAD tools & design flow like schematic, layout, BOM generation & release for production
- Hands on experience on ECAD library management
- Hands on experience in developing automation for ECAD process improvement.
- Hands on experience in layout design & footprint creation with IPC standards
- Understanding on Analog mix signal & high-speed designs
- Experience of working with various CAD tools like Cadence, Mentor & Altium
- Experience in working with PLM systems.
- Experience in PCB & PCBA manufacturing process & guidelines
- Experience on various compliance / safety / EMI/ EMC standards from design / layout perspective
- Knowledge & experience of Design for Manufacturability & design for testing
- Working knowledge of partnering with PCB/ PCBA vendors for process capability understanding
- Good to have experience in industrial / controls product designs
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across design, manufacturing, sourcing & external partners.
- Effective communicator & ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
- Should be proactive & passionate and be self-driven.
- Strong drive for detailed documentation & ability to work through legacy systems
- Strong technical systems background, Solid written and verbal communication skills

**Experience: 12** to 15 yrs. of total work Experience

**Academic Qualifications**:BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited university/college.
