**The Role**: Commvault Backup Administrator

**Responsibilities**:
Configuration, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of backup environment including Backup servers, backup storage, network configuration and clients.

Designing of new backup infrastructure.

Proposing effective backup policies to cater to business requirements.

Configuration of backup solution on requested servers

Performing standard and test restores of requested files, folders, databases, and virtual machines.

Representing Backup & Restore team in cross-department projects.

Supporting disaster recovery tests. Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.

**What We’re Looking For**:
Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent area of technical study.

Minimum 7+ years of Industry experience in Storage & backup domain Commvault

Expert knowledge in Commvault backup solution

Working knowledge of Linux OS is must.

Experience in designing a backup infrastructure on premise and on AWS

Hands on Experience of Backup Restore jobs and troubleshooting failures

Ability to configure Commvault backups on Cloud storage

Hands on experience on Netapp would be an advantage

Experience in Capacity planning and performing analysis of current landscape of Storage workloads and Storage pools Defining target/Future state of storage landscape

Experience in designing storage technology and integrating various cloud storage options

Data protection and backup recovery solutions familiarity such as using virtual tape, disk to disk to tape, Cloud Storage (S3 Bucket etc)

Configuring, Maintaining NDMP backups for various NAS technologies

Administer, maintain, and monitor Commvault backup solution.

Execute daily backups, verify their success, and manage backup operations using Commvault

Ensure optimal performance of both backup and storage systems, addressing any inefficiencies.

Participate in disaster recovery drills and actual recovery in case of failures.

Monitor storage and backup capacities, recommending expansions or optimizations as needed.

Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data

Stay updated on new technologies and trends related to Commvault and Netapp storage
