Managing biobanking of tumor tissue with set SOPs
**Key Responsibilities**
Make sure the technical setup and SOPs are followed appropriately for biobanking activities.
Make sure day-to-day biobanking activities are done with utmost accuracy.
Monitor, track, and develop the logistics and handling of clinical samples in close cooperation with the clinical study management team
Trains and guides the technical staff in sample handling and storage and is responsible for ensuring the highest sample quality.
Maintain bio-specimen storage and cataloguing.
Maintain and update biobank records in the database.
Perform sample management system maintenance.
Perform and coordinate bio-specimen reception and shipments.
Prepare reports on completed tasks on a monthly basis.
Identify and ship the stored biobank tissue samples to researchers.
Present the biobank happenings at a national conference once a year.
**Qualifications required**:
Minimum bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Life Sciences or a related field
Minimum one (1) year of experience in either clinical or healthcare environment as a sample or lab manager position
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across several teams and sites
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Previous experience with sample management software would be an asset
Working knowledge of and experience with basic laboratory techniques would be an asset
**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
