**Job Title: Wildlife Veterinarian**

**About ARRC**:
We are a dedicated wildlife rescue center in Bengaluru, committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing sick, injured, and orphaned birds and reptiles. On average, we assist 7000+ animals yearly. We provide compassionate care for a diverse range of species and work tirelessly to return them to their natural habitats. We are also committed to promoting co-existence and spreading awareness to reduce human-animal conflict.

**Role Overview**: As a Wildlife Veterinarian, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions in animals admitted to our facility. In addition to providing clinical care, you will have the opportunity to work on wildlife diseases, pathology, and epidemiology

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing comprehensive medical care for a diverse range of native wildlife species.
- Performing thorough physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for various medical conditions.
- Administering appropriate medications as needed.
- Performing diagnostic procedures for wildlife diseases and interpreting results.
- Treat each patient with empathy and respect, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their stay at ARRC.
- Work collaboratively with rehabilitation staff to provide holistic care for our rescued wildlife.
- Stay current with advancements in wildlife medicine through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree
- Registration with Karnataka Veterinary Council
- Knowledge of wildlife anatomy, physiology, behavior.
- Diagnostic skills and basic proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Compassion for wildlife and a commitment to the well-being of animals.
- Possess a scientific mindset and approach to animal care and rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to observe animal behaviors with keen attention to detail.
- Accurate and thorough documentation skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and protocols with precision.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures.
- Prior experience with wildlife medicine is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reading/Writing proficiency in English is a must, Basic Spoken Kannada is a plus
