You will experience an international work environment with lean management. The Peter Lang headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, are the central hub for management and administration. The rest of our team is based in continental Europe, Anglo-American regions, and Asia with offices in Berlin, New York, Oxford, Brussels, Chennai and supporting locations in Vienna, Warsaw, Istanbul and Madrid.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer/Art Work Executive to join us to play a key role in coordinating all aspects of artwork and print production. You will create artwork on the basis on existing templates and develop internal specifications. You will work closely with editors, authors, and the production team to ensure high production quality standards according to our guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implementation of book cover and interior according to the brief/templates
- Overseeing the entire production process: from the initial briefing to the design development, final print, and distribution.
- Coordination and communication with internal departments as editors, authors and the production team
- Data quality control: ensuring all print and digital files meet technical requirements and monitoring data integrity throughout the production process.
- Print production oversight: checking print results and ensuring quality standards are met according to the design specifications.
- Quality assurance: ensuring high quality standards for all visual materials, such as images, infographics and illustrations.

Your Profile:

- Completed training in graphic design, media design, or a comparable qualification.
- Solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Experience in book production, ideally within publishing.
- Knowledge of prepress processes and technical requirements for print production.
- High attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of image editing, typography, and a good sense for modern design.
