Job Description: Civil Foreman

Position Overview: A Civil Foreman plays a crucial role in construction projects, overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations at the construction site. They are responsible for managing a team of workers, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, monitoring progress, and maintaining quality standards. The Civil Foreman reports to the Project Manager or Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the construction crew, including skilled and unskilled workers.
- Assign tasks to team members and provide clear instructions to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor the performance of workers, provide guidance and training when needed, and address any performance issues.

2. Construction Site Operations:

- Oversee the daily activities at the construction site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to schedule and sequence work activities to meet project timelines.

3. Safety and Quality Control:

- Implement and enforce safety procedures, guidelines, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards, address safety concerns, and promote a culture of safety among the team.
- Ensure that construction activities are carried out in accordance with quality standards and specifications.

4. Construction Documentation:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily progress, including work completed, materials used, and any issues or delays encountered.
- Prepare reports on the status of construction activities, productivity, and any incidents or accidents that occur on-site.
- Assist in the preparation and review of construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

5. Communication and Coordination:

- Communicate effectively with the project team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure construction activities align with project requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in construction is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using construction tools, equipment, and technology.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.

Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: ₹13,368.21 - ₹66,352.71 per month
