Fabrication Technician

Ability to work with cross function teams to provide solutions quickly and efficiently to manufacturing and material handling related issues.

Ability to fabricate equipment and fixtures including assembling materials with fasteners, welding, cutting, bending, drilling, grinding etc. a variety of metals, plastics, wood, or any other materials required.

Works through work order system to prioritize projects and manage customer expectations.

Ability to work in team-oriented environment to accomplish large projects as well as self-management skills when working on smaller tasks.

Communicates consistently with internal customers regarding status of requests.

Constructs sketches of mechanical or construction alterations/installations.

Prepares bills of material on jobs requiring major material use and initiates purchase requisitions.

Uses various material handling equipment such as hoists, carts, lifts, fork trucks and hand trucks in moving light to heavy weight material.

Experience : 2 to 4yrs
