**About Logically Facts**

Logically Facts is Logically’s independent fact-checking unit established in April 2023. Focused on reducing the spread of harmful discourse, Logically Facts utilises the expertise of fact-checkers to deliver accurate fact checks at scale and provide people with more reliable and accurate information. Logically Facts is also a verified signatory to International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) Code of Principles and goes through annual certification.

**Social Media Monitoring**
- (Must be based in Assam)

**Primary Responsibilities-**
- Detect misleading claims and fake news around elections by monitoring different social media platforms using open-source techniques. Communicate and maintain effective working relationships with clients and timely execute client deliveries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Assamese (native speaker) and English languages. Added knowledge of the Bengali and Bodo languages will be preferred.
- Write original, high-quality research and client-facing reports that meet editorial standards and tight deadlines.
- Conduct open source collection and analysis to support investigations on potential online threats, misinformation, disinformation, and/or influence/information operations.
- Write intelligence reports and long-form articles for identified threats.
- Assist in the planning, development, and execution of activities in support of emerging client requirements.
- Utilize sources to obtain and disseminate intelligence-related information from publicly available information (PAI).Participate in developing collection strategies, postures, and plans related to client needs.
- Prepare and present briefings on open-source intelligence products for clients and potential clients.

**Qualifications-**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Assamese (native speaker) and English languages. Added knowledge of the Bengali and Bodo languages will be preferred.
- Knowledge of social media monitoring and open-source intelligence collection, gathering, and dissemination techniques, processes, and tools.
- A high degree of seasoned judgment related to collecting and analyzing intelligence information.
- Strong organizational skills and creative thinker with an ability to analyze a wide array of data.

**Essential Skills and Experience-**
- You have a strong understanding of the Election and political landscape in Assam. Added knowledge of the electoral - system and process in India will be preferred.
- Professional journalism, fake news detection, or other editorial/research experience of at least 0-3 years.
- You can research and write original, high-quality reports to strict editorial standards and tight deadlines.
- You can discover and flag misleading claims using different platforms and techniques.
- You can proactively pitch ideas around misleading claims on social media. You have strong analytical skills and can remain impartial and critical while writing on complex and sensitive topics.
