Who we are:
Solera is a global leader in risk and asset management data and software solutions for the insurance and automotive industries.
In this role you will drive the product activities related to selected Solera Property Claims products from Solera Sachcontrol subsidiary.
Sachcontrol is the leading provider of Insurance Invoice Checking Solutions and Services in German speaking markets (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
Sachcontrol solutions leverage construction expertise, Invoice data and AI to reduce the claims cost of our insurance companies customers.
The Property Claims Product team:
The Property Claims Product Team consists of Product Owners and Product Managers responsible to drive Solera Property claims solutions development from gathering early requirements to go to market.
The Role:
We are looking for a Product Owner to take direct ownership of several Sachcontrol Products whether a targeted solution or a key functionality that will serve all our solutions.
The role will involve working with the complete Sachcontrol organization as well as with Solera Product and customer teams in multiple location and time zones. Some international travel will be required.
What You’ll do:
You are the voice of the customer for the topic areas assigned to you, which in practice means
- Understanding the market and competitive landscape relevant to the products you drive
- Bringing new or improved functionality ideas for consideration with the overall goal of always bring more value to our customers (including analyzing ideas and change requests submitted by our customers)
- Maturing and defending those ideas (value proposition, business case ) in product and prioritization reviews,
- Maintaining the product roadmap in your area,
- Analyzing and documenting requirements, product guides, release notes (facilitating requirement workshops, requirement prioritization, creation of epics and user stories, and user interface designs and prototypes), including workflow and integration points when relevant,
- Be a key contributor to Sachcontrol release planning activities,
- Collaborate with the development team during the design and specification phase of the project, ensuring that the team understand how the new /improved functionality should work in the context of the full solution, how it should be tested, including backlog management, grooming sessions, story point estimation
- Work with the rest of the organization to support Sales efforts and prepare for launch,
In addition, you are expected to
- Gain an in-depth level of understanding on the assigned product(s), including personas and use cases
- Contribute to the development of a compelling product vision that guides the company toward a bright future,
- Contribute to the company’s Product process development and related tools implementation,
- Feed any relevant learnings from your projects into our Product processes and future projects,

To succeed in this position, you will need the following skills, experience, and attitude:
- A proven track record of successfully managing complex technical products as a Product Owner,
- The will and ability to become our product expert,
- The ability to get things done through other part of the organization irrespective of reporting lines,
- A superior attention to detail combined with a big picture mindset,
- Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) Software Development frameworks and Atlassian tools
- You are
- Curious, a quick learner, resourceful and able to drive multiple products in parallel,
- Great at collaborating with others and always adopting a constructive mindset,
- Brilliant at communicating complex ideas in such a way that they are easily understood by all stakeholders,
- Fluent in spoken and written English,
- Fluent spoken and written German (B1 or better)
- A relevant educational background (Bsc/Msc computer science or equivalent),
