Pharmacist in Charge

**Job responsibilities of Pharmacy Incharge**

1. The dispensing of drugs, chemicals and pharmaceutical preparations.

2. Maintenance of an approved stock of antidotes and other emergency drugs.

3. Dispensing of all narcotic drugs and ensuring proper accounting system for them.

4. Inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies at user points.

5. Specification of all drugs, chemicals, antibiotics, biological and pharmaceutical preparations.

6. Establishing a system of records and book keeping in cooperation with the accounting department.

7. Preparing pharmacy policies and procedures in consonance with the established policies of the hospital.

8. Cooperating in teaching and training programmes for nurses and doctors.

9. Implementing the decisions of the therapeutics committee.

10. Preparing periodic reports and returns on the utilization of pharmacy services.

11. Plan, organize and coordinate pharmacy services and operations.

12. Supervise, direct, schedule, train and evaluate the work of assigned staff.

13. Develop policies and procedures and evaluate program effectiveness.

14. Serve as the technical expert and resource for pharmaceutical matters with the Agency.

15. Compound a variety of drugs and medicines with accuracy.

16. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.

17. Maintain safe dispensary practices and procedures.

18. Develop policies, procedures and the drug formulary.

19. Develop and maintain cost effective pharmacy services.

21. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.

22. Prepare and present clear and concise reports and correspondence.

23. Learn to input, access and analyze data using a computer terminal.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
