**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**POSITION: Social Worker**
**Work Days - 6 Days work week in office.**
**Timings: 9:30am to 5:30pm with Chai and Lunch Break**
**ORGANIZATION**
Alex Agape Foundation (AAF), Registered in 2017 as a Public Charitable Trust in Kerala, India, our primary objective is, to care for **orphaned, abandoned, abused, and underprivileged women and children.**
**Role Overview**:
The Social Worker is responsible for the case management of children in the home. Everything that is done by the social worker must be done with the consideration of the best interest and safety of all children in care.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Case Management - Children, Women, Families
- New Child Intake and Assessment
- Conduct Home Studies and Investigations with biological families, speaking to neighbors, Panchayat offices, police officers and other concerned authorities
- Preparation, implementation, and oversight of ICP's and IEP's based on findings from home studies and investigations
- Correspond with family members, teachers, doctors, counselors, therapists, police, child line workers, and all government stakeholders on behalf of children in your caseload
- Obtain necessary documents like birth certificates, Aadhar Cards, TC's and other legal documents necessary for the children in your caseload
- Attend Gov't meetings and other trainings as required.
- Advocate for the children in your caseload to ensure that children's cases are being handled legally and children's physical, emotional, educational, and social needs are properly addressed with all stakeholders.
- Ensure that the care of all children is being handled according to the standards of licensing under the JJAct
- Recommend eligible children for referral for foster care through the DCPU. Liaison between government authorities and family members or siblings for ongoing visits and contact with children placed in foster families.
- Provide support to foster families and children pre and post placement for successful foster care placement.
- Recommend legally eligible children for referral for adoption through CARA. Prepare children's file for the SAA to upload and give annual updates to the SAA for the child's listing.
- Plan and execute periodic classes for children in the home as needed
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English and Malayalam.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Honesty and dependability.

Pay: ₹13,500.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
