Job Summary:
The Sales Executive for IT Catering and Event Catering is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for catering services tailored to both IT-related events and general event catering needs. This role involves identifying potential clients within the IT industry, as well as event planners and organizers, and promoting catering solutions that align with their specific requirements. The Sales Executive will work closely with the operations team to develop customized offerings, coordinate logistics, and ensure exceptional service delivery for IT-related functions and broader events.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and target potential clients within the IT industry, including technology companies, startups, IT departments of organizations, and businesses hosting IT-related events.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to penetrate the IT catering market, leveraging industry contacts, networking opportunities, and targeted marketing initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within IT companies and event management firms, understanding their catering needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Promote and sell catering services for IT-related events, such as tech conferences, product launches, hackathons, training sessions, and corporate meetings, emphasizing menu options, technology-themed presentations, and branding opportunities.
- Collaborate with the catering team to customize menus, pricing packages, and service offerings to meet the unique requirements of IT events, including dietary preferences, tech-themed decor, and audiovisual integration.
- Respond to inquiries, requests for proposals (RFPs), and event briefs promptly and professionally, presenting catering options, proposals, and quotations in alignment with client expectations.
- Coordinate site visits, tastings, and consultations with clients to discuss event details, menu selections, venue logistics, and technical requirements, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the planning process.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring profitability while meeting budgetary constraints and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the catering team, event planners, vendors, and venue staff to oversee event execution, including setup, food service, guest interactions, and cleanup, ensuring seamless coordination and client satisfaction.
- Follow up with clients post-event to gather feedback, address any concerns or issues, and nurture long-term relationships for repeat business and referrals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in both IT catering and event catering sectors, identifying opportunities for innovation and business growth.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and event bookings using CRM software or other designated systems.
- Attend networking events, industry conferences, and trade shows to promote catering services, expand the client base, and increase brand visibility within the IT and event planning communities.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales, particularly within the catering or hospitality industry, with experience selling to IT clients or within the events industry being advantageous.
- Strong understanding of catering operations, event planning processes, and technology-related requirements for IT events, including audiovisual setups, networking capabilities, and tech-themed decor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients, event planners, and industry professionals.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations in both IT and general event catering contexts.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to prospecting, lead generation, and client relationship management, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software for sales tracking, reporting, and client management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate client schedules and event requirements.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for client visits and site inspections.
