Roles & Responsibilities:

- To coordinate and participate in a variety of nuclear medicine procedures; to operate radiation detection and measurement instrumentation.
- To calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients; formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits; to ensure radiopharmaceutical quality, route of administration and the accuracy of dosage before giving it to the patient and to take precautions to avoid misadministration.
- To ensure proper functioning of all nuclear medicine equipment's, to calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction, to carry out periodic quality assurance and maintenance.
- To calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay. To evaluate recorded images for technical quality.
- To process computerized image data to include function curves and reconstructed SPECT images.
- To assume care for physical and psychological needs of patient of all ages during an examination, initiate life support measures for patient, if necessary.
- To instruct patients regarding post procedure precautions.
- To maintain inventory of supplies in assigned area; to prepare and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing and disposal activities. To maintain records of order, receipt and disposal of all radioactive material in the department.
- To avoid spillage of radioactivity or contamination of the patient, premises, persons and material by exercising care during dispensing/administration of radioactivity.
- To report to RSO and the nuclear medicine physician of any mishap in dispensing/administration of dosage to the patient or any unusual incident.
- To assist RSO in maintaining records of inventory, use, waste disposal of sources and other safety matters.
- To maintain professional conduct, good communication skills, and confidentiality in the care of patients.
- To be part of the Quality Initiative Improvement & protocols of the department & organization.

**Essential Qualification: Bachelors in Nuclear Medicine Technology / PG Dip. In Nuclear Medicine**

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
