Translation Facilitator

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Translate documents, materials, and communication between English and the local language(s) (Khasi and/or Garo) ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Provide interpretation services as needed during meetings, workshops, or other events.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure clear communication across language barriers.
- Maintain knowledge of specialized terminology, particularly in areas such as agriculture, to facilitate accurate translation.
- Review and proofread translated materials to ensure quality and consistency.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of translation glossaries and style guides.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Stay updated on language developments and cultural nuances.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in English and either Khasi or Garo, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in translation services preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in linguistics, translation studies, languages, or related fields recommended.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with translation software and tools is a plus.
- Specialization in specific areas such as agriculture is desirable.

**Languages Required**: Proficiency in English and either Khasi or Garo.

**Education**: Bachelor’s Degree in linguistics, translation studies, languages, or related fields recommended.

**Experience**: Previous experience in translation services preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
