**PROFILE OF CANDIDATE**

As a System Administrator in a school, your primary responsibility is to manage and maintain the school's computer systems, network infrastructure, and related technologies. You will ensure the smooth operation of the school's IT infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, provide user support, and implement security measures. You will collaborate with teachers, staff, and students to optimize the use of technology in the educational environment.
- Key Responsibilities:_
- **1.System and Network Administration**:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
Monitor network performance, ensure availability, and troubleshoot network issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Perform regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and security policies.
**2.Technical Support**:

- Provide technical support to teachers, staff, and students regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Respond to help requests, diagnose problems, and resolve them in a timely manner.
Assist with the setup and maintenance of audiovisual equipment in classrooms and other areas.
**3.Software and Application Management**:
Maintain and update antivirus software and security patches.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to recommend and implement educational software solutions.
**4.User Training and Documentation**:

- Conduct training sessions to educate teachers and staff on the effective use of technology resources.

Create and maintain documentation, user manuals, and knowledge base articles for commonly encountered issues.
**5.Technology Planning and Budgeting**:

- Assist in evaluating and recommending new hardware, software, and networking solutions.

Collaborate with the management team to develop the school's technology plan.
Provide input on technology-related budget requirements and ensure cost-effective solutions.
**6.Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with the IT team, teachers, staff, and external vendors to coordinate system upgrades, installations, and maintenance.

Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to address their technology needs and concerns.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a system administrator or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in server administration
- Familiarity with network protocols, security practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud-based services.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of educational software and technologies used in schools is a plus.
