Cctv Technician

Responsibilities:
Install and set up CCTV camera systems in various locations, such as residential buildings, commercial properties, public spaces, or industrial sites.

Mount cameras on walls, ceilings, or other structures, ensuring optimal angles and coverage for surveillance.

Configure camera settings, such as resolution, frame rate, and field of view, to meet specific requirements.

Install and connect necessary equipment, including video recorders, monitors, switches, and power supplies.

Test and troubleshoot CCTV systems to identify and resolve any technical issues, such as faulty connections, power failures, or camera malfunctions.

Maintain and upgrade existing CCTV systems, including firmware updates, software installations, and hardware replacements.

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure cameras, cables, and connectors are clean, secure, and functioning correctly.

Collaborate with clients or security personnel to understand their surveillance needs and recommend appropriate camera placements or system enhancements.

Provide technical support and training to end-users on operating the CCTV system, including camera controls, video playback, and remote access.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in CCTV technology and industry best practices to suggest system improvements and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in electronics, telecommunications, or security systems are advantageous.

Proven experience as a CCTV camera technician or in a related field.

In-depth knowledge of CCTV systems, including camera types, lenses, wiring, connectors, and video transmission methods.

Familiarity with security protocols, data protection, and privacy regulations.

Proficient in using CCTV testing equipment and troubleshooting tools.

Strong technical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair system faults efficiently.

Basic understanding of networking concepts and IP-based surveillance systems.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces, as required during installations or maintenance tasks.

Good communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders effectively.
