Knitwear Designer

Position Name: Assistant Fashion Designer - knitwear

Experience: 2+ Years

Location : Botad, Gujarat ( Near Ahmedabad )

Roles and Responsibilities:
Conceptualization of the collection; color schemes, fabrics, artworks, embroideries, silhouettes, surface techniques. Work with the master on the technical specifications and creation of the patterns

Adherence to the range plan and costings; product and budget

Quality and aesthetic of the samples

Costing of the sample and arriving at the final MRP of the product in conjunction with the merchandising and business teams (and as per the range plan)

Oversee the timely delivery of samples as per the calendar agreed upon with merchandising and explaining the process to the production team

Presentation of the collection to the merchandising team so that feedback can be incorporated/orders can be placed

If there is a major change in the sample then the designer should make a PP sample (pre-production sample)

Signing off on the first production samples

Interactions with the merchandising team to discuss samples/response to collections

Interactions with the store team to take client orders; accurate execution and accountability of those orders

Visits to the store to understand the feedback on their product, to educate the store staff on the product

Coordination with other teams and within the team for timely and quality delivery

Keeping abreast of the trends in the market/new embroidery techniques/fabric developments etc

Designing garment ideas as required

Thinking creatively and clearly visualizing designs

Conducting trend research

Creating design technical sketches and tech packs

Working on label and tag design with brand instructions

Assisting with sewing and digital pattern creation

Collaborating on prints and têxtile design

Utilizing design rendering and digital pattern techniques - Must Now Adobe Software's

Position Requirements

Graduation from a fashion institutes (3-4 years course), Preferably from NIFT, Pearl Academy or from any reputed college

Photoshop, Coral, MS Office, Illustrator, clo3d ( would be plus )

Software Rendering / Software Drawing Skills

Knowledge of têxtiles and techniques

Team Management

**Salary**: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
