Workshop Superintendent

The workshop superintendent will be monitoriong and controlling the activities related to all the workshops in the Institute and will be accountable to the Principal in all matters concerned with the workshop instructions, proper utilization of men, material and machines and maintenance in workshop, and services to various departments. He/ She shall be incharge of the Worksshop and control the central store of the Institute. Duties and Responsibility:

- 1. Planning, scheduling, organizing, coordinating and moniotoring workshop training, session and tasks of the Institute. 2. Planning delivering and evaluating theoretical and workshop instructions. 3. Designing, Developing and test instructional material and tasks for skill training. 4. Plan and organize staff development and commissioning of plant and equipment in the workshops. 5. Procurement, erection/ installation and commissioning of plant and equipment in the workshops. 6. Procurement and storage of raw material, tools and instruments for workshop and for other departments or requisistion. 7. Procurement and storage of raw Material, tools instruments for workshop and for other departments on requisistion. 8. Guide students in the performance of practical tasks and skill exercises in workshop and evaluate their performance. He/She will be available for the whole duration of the class assigned to him/her in practical/ theroretical clauses. 9. Advise and assist students and faculty members in the fabrication of their project work. 10. Manage the maintenance of equipment and tools in the shops including preventive and break down maintenance. 11. To laydown safety procedures for working in workshop. 12. Partivipate in professional development activities 13. Commercial, Financial, personnel and security functions as stipulated. 14.
