- As a Snowflake Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data warehousing solutions using Snowflake's cloud-based data platform. You will collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing for the organization's analytical and reporting needs.- Key Responsibilities:
**1. Architectural Design**:

- Develop and maintain data warehousing architecture using Snowflake.
- Design scalable and performant data models and schema structures.
- Define data integration strategies for ingesting data from various sources into Snowflake.

**2. Snowflake Implementation**:

- Set up and configure Snowflake accounts, virtual warehouses, and databases.
- Implement data loading processes, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines.
- Optimize SQL queries and workloads for improved performance.

**3. Data Security and Compliance**:

- Ensure data security by implementing access controls, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Monitor and audit data access to maintain compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

**4. Performance Tuning**:

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Snowflake environments.
- Implement best practices for query optimization and resource management.

**5. Monitoring and Maintenance**:

- Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and scaling.

**6. Documentation**:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Snowflake architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Create and update data dictionaries and metadata repositories.

**7. Collaboration**:

- Work closely with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate Snowflake with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Snowflake Architect or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in data warehousing, including data modeling, SQL, and ETL.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certifications:
- Certifications related to Snowflake, such as SnowPro Certification, are a plus.- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica).
- Knowledge of data lakes and big data technologies.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Data Virtualization tools would be added advantage.
