- **Team Leadership and Management**:

- Lead and manage a team of 15 Design Engineers including leam leaders responsible for different processes of equipment and system design.
- Provide clear direction, set performance goals, and ensure the team's adherence to ASME standards and company design guidelines.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
- **Design Accuracy and Compliance**:

- Oversee the design process for both customised and standard equipment, ensuring that all designs align with project specifications.
- Conduct thorough design reviews to verify accuracy, functionality, and safety aspects of the proposed designs.
- Implement quality control measures to detect and address any design errors or deviations, minimizing the risk of rework during production.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the incorporation of the latest advancements in process equipment design.
- **Timely Execution**:

- Establish and enforce strict timelines for the generation of shop floor drawings, ensuring projects progress smoothly and meet delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as Production and Procurement, to streamline the drawing generation process and minimize bottlenecks.
- Monitor the progress of design deliverables, identify potential delays, and take proactive measures to keep projects on track.
- Prioritize and allocate resources efficiently to optimize productivity and meet deadlines.
- **Process Improvement and Innovation**:

- Continuously evaluate the design workflow and identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement.
- Implement innovative design methodologies and tools to improve the accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness of the design process.
- Lead the implementation of new software, technologies, and best practices to elevate the overall capabilities of the design team.
- Collaborate with the R&D department to explore and integrate emerging technologies that can lead to superior equipment designs.
- Risk Management
- Identify potential design risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize errors, rework, and project delays.

**Required Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in process equipment design and manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME standards and other relevant industry codes and regulations pertaining to process equipment.
- Experience in Static and Rotary equipments
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team of design engineers, with a focus on achieving high accuracy in designs and timely generation of shop floor drawings.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools commonly employed in the process equipment industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure, ensuring project timelines are met without compromising design quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the design team.
- Prior experience in risk management related to design processes, identifying potential issues, and implementing appropriate preventive measures.
