- A teller acts as the customer representative of a bank and is responsible for the accurate and safe handling of routine bank transactions. The teller assists customers with financial transactions such as cashing checks, depositing money, and collecting loan payments.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Error free Execution of LCY transactions such as - cash deposits/ cash withdrawals, TIDE liquidation, draft issuances, in house transfers, draft cancellations, maintenances such as address change, cheque book & deposit slip issuance, PAN updation & stop payments
- Managing Cash within allotted limits. Adherence of cash desk timing as per regulatory guidelines
- Cash balancing at end of day which includes the preparation of the teller blotter sheet, MIS & preparation of reports like Stop payment, Heavy cash, MIFT, Address change, Multiple cheque bounce, etc
- Managing PINS & cheque books as custodians if applicable.
- Handling secured stationary such as DD & other misc. stationary.
- Ensuring nil audit observations
- Nil overage and shortages
- Nil escalations related to delay in transaction execution
- Timely archival of teller batches.
**Qualifications**
Optimal qualification for success on the job is:
- Graduation/ Post graduation from a recognized institute
- 0-3 years
- experience in the relevant field

- Knowledge of banking products and services
- Ability to solution issues and manage complex situations
- Good communication (both verbal and written) skill in both English and the local language
- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Good networking and relationship building skills
