Injection Moulding Operator

**Job Summary**

The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of injection molding processes, machine operation, and quality control procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate injection molding machines according to specifications, including adjusting temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
- Monitor the molding process for signs of defects or abnormalities.
- Ensure efficient and safe operation of machines.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect finished products for defects such as flash, short shots, sink marks, and other imperfections.
- Implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Maintain detailed records of production output and quality metrics.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine maintenance on injection molding machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdowns or malfunctions.
- Replace worn or damaged parts as needed.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents.
- **Teamwork**:

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production and meet deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an injection molding operator.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes, including machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Desired Skills**:

- Experience with a variety of injection molding machines and materials.
- Knowledge of quality control techniques and standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Experience**:

- Plastics injection molding: 5 years (preferred)
- Plastics blow molding: 5 years (preferred)
