Architectural Draughtsman/woman

As an architectural draftsman, your primary responsibility will be to assist architects and engineers in creating detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects. You will work closely with the design team to translate their concepts and ideas into accurate and precise drawings.

Your duties may include:
1. Creating detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
2. Collaborating with architects and engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
3. Reviewing and interpreting architectural sketches, rough drawings, and specifications to create accurate and comprehensive technical drawings.
4. Incorporating changes and modifications to existing drawings as directed by the design team.
5. Ensuring that all drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
6. Conducting site visits to gather measurements and other necessary information for drawing preparation.
7. Assisting in the preparation of project documentation, including material schedules, quantity take-offs, and specifications.
8. Coordinating with other professionals, such as structural engineers and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) consultants, to integrate their designs into the architectural drawings.
9. Maintaining organized and up-to-date drawing files and documentation.
10. Keeping up with industry trends and advancements in CAD software and techniques.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of architectural principles, construction methods, and building materials. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit, is essential. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also important qualities for an architectural draftsman.
