The Data Science team is at the forefront of SatSure’s data-driven decision intelligence platform. It forms the backbone of strategy and product development. The team works in a highly collaborative and cross-functional manner with geospatial researchers, ML engineers, and business analysts. The solutions that we design span from agrifinance to construction monitoring, and impact fields ranging from power transmission to sustainability. You will be actively involved in developing innovative datasets for improving access to finance for farmers in India and globally.

**Role**:
As a Data Scientist, you will be expected to work on understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress. You will collaborate with different teams and work together to identify and influence change to adopt optimized decision-making solutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implementing deep-learning models and/or frameworks that can be used in scene/semantic/panoptic segmentation, and image classification using earth observation data in the agriculture and infrastructure domain.
- Design and implement performance evaluation frameworks and corresponding metrics.
- Exploring and developing state-of-the-art methods for improving existing solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with the technical and non-technical team members to achieve the desired benchmarks within the given time frame.
- Guide junior/intern data scientists.

**Requirements**:
**Must-Have**:

- 3+ years of experience in machine learning-based data product development in addition to relevant educational background in the fields of Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, etc.
- 2 - 3 years of work experience as a Data Scientist focused on computer vision and deep learning.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in Design and implementing computer vision algorithms including but not limited to image classification, segmentation, translation, and reconstruction using both conventional and deep learning methodologies.
- Prior experience working with statistical modeling techniques and deep learning fundamentals, such as CNN, RNN, Transformers, GANs, etc including sequence networks eg LSTMs
- Proficiency in any programming language, preferably Python, with hands-on experience in using ML frameworks such as Tensorflow/Pytorch, Pytorch Lightning, MxNet, etc
- Effective and empathetic communication skills to facilitate better decision-making across multiple stakeholders.

**Good to Have**:

- Appetite for research and implementing innovative solutions for complex problems
- Experience handling geospatial datasets
- Proven ability to communicate highly technical results to a diverse audience

**Educational Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree/Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Data Science or equivalent
