**Job Description: Associate Microbiologist**

**Position Overview**: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Microbiologist with **1 to 2 years** of experience to join our team. As an Associate Microbiologist, you will play a key role in conducting laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and assisting in the research and development of microbiological products and processes. Your work will contribute to the advancement of our organization's goals and objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Laboratory Testing: Perform microbiological tests and experiments following established protocols and procedures. This includes sample preparation, microbial culture, isolation, identification, and enumeration.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Record and analyse test results using various techniques and tools. Interpret data, identify trends, and report findings to senior microbiologists or management.
- Quality Control: Follow quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results. Maintain laboratory records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring they are calibrated, clean, and functioning properly. Report any equipment malfunctions or discrepancies and assist in troubleshooting.
- Research and Development: Assist in the development and optimization of microbiological processes, techniques, and methodologies. Collaborate with senior microbiologists on research projects and experiments.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, providing support and sharing knowledge. Communicate findings, results, and project updates in a clear and concise manner.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest advancements in microbiology through professional development opportunities, scientific literature, and attending relevant conferences or workshops.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Biology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- **1 to 2 years** of experience working in a microbiology laboratory or related research setting.
- Solid understanding of microbiological techniques, including aseptic techniques, microbial culturing, isolation, and identification.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments used in microbiology, such as autoclaves, incubators, microscopes, and PCR machines.
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistical software packages for interpreting and presenting research findings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work, record-keeping, and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
