This Tposition establishes and regulates the powers, functional and official duties, rights and responsibilities of a magnetic and ultrasonic flaw detector operator.

2. **Magnetic and ultrasonic flaw detector must know**:
(a) Arrangement of magnetic, electromagnetic, magnetographic, ultraviolet flaw detectors and transformations;
(b) standard and experimental checks for checking and adjusting ultrasonic flaw detectors and transformations;
(c) evaluation of the effectiveness of ultrasonic control methods: echo-pulse, shadow, mirror-shadow and resonant;
(d) methods for determining and separating metals;
(e) main types of waves;
(f) excitation of ultrasonic waves and the presence of acoustic contact;
(g) types of defects;
(h) types of welded joints;
(i) requirements for the delayed surface (roughness parameters);
(j) fundamentals of electronics, metallurgy and welding production;
(k) methods of control of rolled products, castings, forgings and welded joints from carbon and low-alloy steels of various impurities;
(l) appointment of magnetic electromagnetic flaw detection;
(m) specifications and instructions for magnetic, magnetographic and eddy current testing;
(n) building up large parts.

3. **Job Requirement**

(a) Participants are checked by the magnetic method using stationary and portable flaw detectors, especially on units without their removal.

(b) Inspection of cylindrical products by eddy current devices with deciphering the location of defects according to defectograms.

(c) Deciphering the perfect defects.

(d) Quality control of welded joints by magnetographic method - recording on magnetic tape.

(e) Assessment of the quality of the weld.

(f) Selection of standards based on the results of luminescent, ultrasonic and spectral analyses.

(g) Determination of the magnetic permeability of austenitic steels by the amount of ferrite.

4. **Qualification**. Class 12 with 50 % Marks & Diploma in Mechanical or Similar Field

**Salary**: ₹300,000.00 per year
